Hello!
I am Fernanda, originally from Mexico and now living in the UK for over 14 years, I bring a personalised, open-hearted and judgement-free approach to end-of-life care and life in general!
Where I come from, death isn’t something we hide from, it’s part of life. In Mexican culture, Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) teaches us to remember, honour, and even celebrate those who’ve died. It’s helped shape how I see death: not as something to fear, but as something we can approach with honesty, compassion, and care – in a proactive way.
My own life changed when my dad died from lung fibrosis in 2022. That experience cracked something open in me. It made me reflect deeply on how we, as individuals and as a society tend to treat death like a taboo.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
Through that loss, I began my training to become an end-of-life doula.
I believe there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to dying. Each person has their own story, and their own needs.
My role is to walk alongside you or those you are close with – whether that’s in preparing for what’s ahead, supporting during the final stages, or simply having the conversations many avoid.
By day, I work in the tech industry as a User Experience Researcher, bringing psychology and behaviour change principles into how we design products or services. At its core, my work is about listening closely, understanding people’s needs, and creating experiences that truly make sense to them. I bring that same mindset to my doula work: being present, adaptable, and attuned to each person’s unique journey.
If you’re looking for someone to help navigate this time with warmth, honesty, no judgement -and even a little humour when it’s needed- I’d love to connect.
