Death cafes

A Death Café is a non for-profit meeting where everyday people gather in a relaxed safe environment to talk about death, often accompanied by tea and cake. The Death Café movement was started by Jon Underwood and is based on the ideas of a Swiss anthropologist Bernard Crettaz.

More information about events and the structure of Death Cafés can be found at the Death Café website and here, you can find details of some of the Death Cafés run by our members by clicking on the map markers.
