End of Life Doula (in training)
I am completing the Diploma in the Living Well Dying Well Person-Centred Approach to Death and Dying.
I supported my mother through the final years of her life, helping to coordinate care, navigate services, and honour her wishes. I have also supported other family members at the end of life. These experiences shaped my understanding of how important clear communication, advocacy and emotional steadiness can be.
Earlier in my career, I was a Disability Rights Advisor and Information Service Manager at East Sussex Disability Association. I supported disabled people, carers and professionals to access advice, services and practical support and help. I was also Co-Chair of Brighton & Hove Sands for three years, supporting bereaved parents. These roles strengthened my commitment to dignity, inclusion and compassionate community support.
Alongside my doula training, I currently work full time, Monday to Friday as Communications Manager at the University of Sussex Business School.
