More about me

My path to becoming an End of Life Doula has been shaped by both personal experience and a deep commitment to supporting people through one of life’s most profound transitions.

Having accompanied close family members through years of illness and being present at the end of life, I witnessed the importance of compassionate, practical, and emotional support for both the individual and those around them. This experience reinforced my belief that nobody should face dying, death, or grief feeling alone.

Alongside my doula training, I have experience supporting people through grief as part of my work with a local hospice. This has given me valuable insight into the many ways people experience loss, bereavement, and anticipatory grief, and the importance of being truly present, listening deeply, and creating a space where people feel heard and supported.

As an End of Life Doula, I offer a calm and compassionate presence, working alongside individuals, families, and carers. I support people to explore their wishes, concerns, and choices in a way that honours what matters most to them. My approach is person centred, respectful, and tailored to each individual’s unique circumstances, values, and beliefs.

Support may include advance care planning, emotional and practical support, companionship, legacy work, family conversations, and signposting to additional services where appropriate. Whether someone is approaching the end of life, caring for a loved one, or facing grief and loss, I aim to provide reassurance, guidance, and compassionate companionship.

I support people across the North East of England and South East Scotland, covering the area from Edinburgh to Newcastle upon Tyne.

I am passionate about encouraging open and honest conversations around death, dying, and grief, helping people feel more informed, empowered, and connected throughout their journey. I believe that compassionate presence can make a meaningful difference, and I am honoured to support people and families as they navigate this important stage of life with dignity, kindness, and respect.
