I came to this pathway after losing our son and having a want to support others. During my training, I was honoured to be able to provide support for my father, uncle and grandmother, which cemented this direction.
As a mother to 5 living children with additional needs, of varying ages, and being neurodivergent myself, I have a wealth of lived experience that pools together to be able to adapt support gently and respectfully. I can be quietly in the background, taking cues when needed, or advocating when appropriate.
Again, due to lived experience, I am comfortable to walk alongside death and dying to offer the dedicated space that needs to be available.
I am very keen to keep talking about the subject, without society’s time restraints, both to support grief but also make the process feel a little less daunting.
I spend my free time volunteering with an animal rescue charity, running to raise funds for charity or indulging in any form of creative making. I also have a degree in psychology and love to talk (healthily) on a wide range of subjects.
I am a doula in training, but please feel free to contact me if you’d like to talk. I am based in Brighton, but can travel.
