More about me

As an End of Life Doula and certified psychodynamic psychotherapist, with an MSc in Consciousness, Spirituality, and Transpersonal Psychology, I have a profound connection to nature and the cycles of life. My practice is holistic, weaving together psychodynamic theory, shamanism, spirituality, somatic practices, and sound therapy. I am dedicated to exploring life’s profound mysteries and the essence of existence.

I offer comfort and guidance through life’s final transition and emphasise the importance of empowering individuals to express and realise their end-of-life preferences.

My experience with grief and bereavement has cultivated an empathetic and nurturing demeanor, providing a sanctuary for open conversations about mortality and fostering a journey towards acceptance and peace.

Deepened by a fascination with the soul’s journey beyond our physical realm, I am drawn to the mysteries of life’s transitions, holding space with respect for the diverse beliefs and experiences of those I support.

Further strengthened by my academic background in Transpersonal Psychology, I am passionate about exploring the vast potential and possibilities of human existence. I am committed to providing an informed, heart-centered presence that nurtures transitions in alignment with each individual’s beliefs and values, fostering a sense of peace and trust in the journey that lies ahead.

I am part of a team of End-of-Life Doulas providing support through an NHS-commissioned project in South West London. In this role, I work with individuals referred by health and social care professionals to EoLDUK, offering compassionate and tailored end-of-life care.

  • "Dear Aga, There are not enough words to describe how very grateful we are to you for you help in navigating the maze of all systems we needed to access. We would have been completely lost. Thank you for the friendship."

  • Aga, my mum died peacefully at about 4 am this morning. Her session with you was so important. Allowing her to let go. I am so grateful.

  • Aga has been an invaluable support during an extremely challenging period. Her calm, patient, and compassionate presence made a noticeable difference to P, who rarely engages with anyone. He consistently brightened when she visited, and he often told me she was the only person he felt able to talk to openly. For me, knowing that someone was coming whom P trusted gave me moments of relief in what has been an exhausting and overwhelming situation. Aga listened without judgement, offered thoughtful guidance when appropriate, and helped us navigate several emotionally difficult conversations, as well as the practical aspects of Advance Care Planning. Her support has felt steady, reliable, and grounded. Even when things were chaotic or distressing, she brought a sense of structure and gentleness to the situation. I am grateful for the way she held space for both of us, and for the dignity and respect she consistently showed P during his decline.

  • Agnieszka, you are a great advocate for your patients. They are lucky to have you.

  • My husband, Terry Colson, and I received end-of-life support from doula from April 2024 until his passing on 23 December 2025. Initially, this support began under the NHS SW project, and when it concluded, EoLDUK continued to provide the necessary assistance. The ongoing support was incredibly important to us, and the thought of it being withdrawn caused me great anxiety. From the beginning, doula's support helped me understand the course of my husband's illness and the ways in which I could support him. Simultaneously, she provided gentle guidance on how to cope with the new experience of the care home. We were extremely fortunate to be assigned Miss Aga Marek, an excellent professional. In a very short time, we built a relationship of trust and friendship with doula. Aga is a compassionate, knowledgable, approachable, very patient and level headed practitioner. Also good to act in critical situations. The doula guided me through the unfamiliar care home system, advocating on our behalf. My husband deeply appreciated Aga's visits. Despite his advanced vascular dementia, he felt comfortable sharing his thoughts and concerns about the future with her. He eagerly anticipated each visit. With doula's help, we were able to set up an end-of-life plan well in advance, making all the necessary arrangements, including medication. This gave me peace of mind. It is difficult to describe how vital it was to have everything in place when the need arose. Thanks to doula, we had the support of the rapid response team and arrangements for "no hospital admission," which provided us with 24-hour medical care. This allowed my husband to remain in the comfort of the care home. The doula's support was invaluable not only to my husband but also to me. We had outings to gardens and open spaces, which gave me time to relax and share my worries and stress. She showed me how to navigate care home regulations and get the best out of the staff and management. Without doula's support, I am certain I would not have been able to cope with the stress and pressures of caring for my husband. In summary, I remain very grateful to EoLDUK for enabling the continuation of this service. I cannot imagine how we would have managed without their support during our greatest time of need. Having someone like Aga to hold my hand and gently leading me through emotional and physical roller coaster is vital. Mrs. M Colson
