More about me

Having come from a very academic, achievement focused background, I never expected to become an integrated healthcare therapist. However, as the result of a variety of profound experiences I have received, for the last 20 years I have been on a dual track journey.

From the right brain I have been experiencing many altered states of consciousness, induced in a variety of ways including Ayahuasca, mescalin and psilocybin, as well as shamanic journeying, ecstatic dance and meditation. It is an ongoing journey of learning how to allow my inner self to reach my full potential and in the process, how to heal and integrate my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies.

From the left brain I have been reading and learning, trying to understand dissociation, the psychology and physiology of stress and trauma (individual and collective), epigenetics, neuroplasticity and the modern post quantum physics of non-locality, the inforealm, the holographic, entangled universe, in which our minds may simply be transmitters and receivers from a universal consciousness.

In the 21st Century, there have been enormous advances in medicine and science and the study of consciousness. Idealism, the concept that Consciousness is fundamental, a concept that was abolished to the realms of metaphysics for centuries, is now firmly back on the scientific agenda. The perennial philosophy is alive and thriving! I see my purpose as being a bridge between the world of modern science/medicine and the ancient healing practices of the indigenous peoples around the world. What they knew and the healing they have offered for centuries is not hippy, new age, bull… it is being rediscovered at the cutting edge of neuroscience and post quantum physics.

I have written and published three books: Corporate Bitch to Shaman: A journey uncovering the links between 21st century science, consciousness and ancient healing practices (2013) is now only available from me. If you are interested, send me a request with your address. £10 plus postage.

Temenos Touch: The art and science of integrated medicine and non-local healing (second edition 2021) is available from Amazon

A Better Pill: First steps to a conscious, nonlocal healthcare paradigm (2018) is available from Amazon

The trainings and experiences I have had include working around the Medicine Wheel with Alberto Villoldo’s ‘Healing the Light Body School’; work with Q’ero shamans in the Andes and Shipibo shamans (and their plant medicine) in the Amazon; several workshops and trainings with Simon Buxton of The Sacred Trust; a remote viewing course with David Morehouse; the Gateway and Lifeline programmes at The Monroe Institute in Virginia, working with hemi-sync sound and altered states of consciousness; re-birthing with Deike Begg in London; meditation classes at Samye Ling and Dhanakosa Buddhist Centres in Scotland and the Vipassa Centre in Chennai, India. Tantra classes with Martin at Transcendence Yoga, UK and Ma Ananda Sarita at Osho Nisarga, India.

I have been a Reiki Master since 2007, I completed the Foundation Year at the Psychosynthesis Education Trust in London in January 2008, and I qualified in Craniosacral Therapy at the College of Cranio-Sacral Therapy in June 2009. In 2020 I qualified as a celebrant within the Fellowship of Independent Celebrants so that I may offer sacred, spiritual weddings, vow renewals, namings and celebrations for times of significant change and renewal. I am also trained in Family Constellations and DMP (past life regression) techniques.

In my personal life I am married to George Christie – a shamanic practitioner, composer and musician. I am continuing on my quest to be aware, to live in the present, to be compassionate, to learn, to grow, to live with joy and to strive towards full consciousness, which I believe is our purpose here on earth. I aim to live each day with gratitude, saying ‘yes’ to life.

In the Western world in particular, there is enormous fear of growing old and death. Through working as a death doula, I hope to be able to help people have a more conscious and complete death. I also hope to be able to assist their carers, family and loved ones to cope with their pain and suffering.
