Hello there, I am a community mental health nurse, yoga teacher and end of life doula. I support people to live and die in a way that is meaningful to them, offering practical and emotional support, advice on navigating health and social care and advance planning. I have a certificate in psychodynamic counselling and have practiced Buddhist medication and mindfulness for many years, all of which helps me to hold space for people and to be attentive to their needs.
Before beginning training as an end of life doula and nurse, I volunteered across several organisations, including Mildmay, an HIV hospice in London, which was a profound and life-changing experience. I have also worked with Compassionate Sheffield, an organisation that aims to de-medicalise death and dying through supporting communities to expand their knowledge of Advance Planning and the dying process.
I have experience in working with older adults with mental health issues and dementia, and have supported people in care homes and in their own homes. advocating for them to other professionals and offering a calming presence to support their sense of peace.
I am passionate about helping people across society to approach their last years, months, weeks and days in alignment with their values, wishes and beliefs.
