I’m a hospice nurse and I have witnessed the importance of talking about fears, beliefs, wishes in a safe space in order to have a more graceful (end of) life. I find working on legacy and doing a life review can be very healing, and sometimes that means emotions will surprise you. You won’t be alone to navigate them. I can also just sit and have a cup of tea talking about how beautiful and weird existence is :) Over the last few years I have shared some of my experience and lessons I have learnt from my hospice patients. You can find me on Instagram @weonlydieonce_ Here is something I put together for the Nursing Times, all about how the last few ‘pages of our book’ can be so transformative, if only we let them. https://www.nursingtimes.net/opinion/it-takes-courage-but-showing-softness-and-vulnerability-can-deepen-relationships-15-12-2021/ It would be an honour to walk alongside you.
