Jenny Granville

I care deeply about creating a space where those at the end of life can live as fully as possible, with their needs and wishes honoured in a supportive, caring and non-judgemental environment.  I aim to use my knowledge, warmth and compassion to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals facing the end of life.  I also offer support to their loved ones – family and friends; helping them navigate this journey with care and understanding.  I provide emotional and spiritual support while also assisting with practical matters such as household tasks and can also help with end-of-life planning including Lasting Power of Attorney and Advance Plans.  I fully believe in empowering people to make their own choices about how they die.  My journey into Doula work began through supporting several friends and family members at the end of their lives, I see it as a great privilege to accompany people during this profound time. I have a life-long interest in complementary medicine, nutrition and alternative therapies including aromatherapy massage and Shiatsu, I have explored many forms of therapy and counselling.  I am a semi-retired art restorer with two adult children.  I volunteer with hospital chaplains and support people recovering from addiction.  Calm, reliable and with a good sense of humour, I find joy in nature and the deep connections we share with others.  I am open to discussing different faiths and beliefs, always approaching conversations with curiosity and respect.
