I am an End of Life Doula in training, I am working towards attainting my diploma in End of Life Doula-ship over the next couple of years.
My calling for this work came from my personal experiences of loved ones dying in a way that was not of their choosing. I want to provide agency, dignity and choice for those who are dying and I’d like to work towards creating a society where dying is openly discussed, choice is actively encouraged and the person and their loved ones is at the centre of the journey.
I am both compassionate and passionate about supporting others in experiencing the death that they would like and fiercely gatekeep their needs and wants. The dying person and their loved ones are at the centre of my practice and I listen, act and organise with that at the forefront.
I want to help folks die with as much agency, dignity, and individuality as they live their lives. I have a compassionate soul and a humorous side to me with a contagious laugh, which can help during difficult times! I am skilled at connecting with people from a variety of backgrounds, religious denominations, and cultures and adjust my energy to align with yours.
I have a strong desire to help evolve how dying is treated in our UK cultures and be a part of a society that doesn’t shy away from the process of dying, the administration of dying and the journey or grief for all involved.
